Natural Gamma-E contains alpha-tocopherol balanced with gamma-tocopherol.* Research suggests that gamma-tocopherol complements alpha-tocopherol, because excessive alpha-tocopherol may deplete plasma gamma-tocopherol.* Both these forms of vitamin E decrease arterial peroxidation and LDL oxidation, and both enhance SOD activity, but only gamma-tocopherol can scavenge peroxynitrite.* Natural tocopherols come from soy.
