Flax seed oil is the most potent known source of alpha-linolenic acid, an essential omega-3 fatty acid. It is extracted from organically grown flax seeds using a special cold-pressing process, which minimizes the damaging effects of light, oxygen and heat. Flax seed oil is also rich in the omega-6 essential fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as the omega-9 essential fatty acid, oleic acid. With a total EFA content greater than 70%, and a total unsaturation of greater than 90%, this is a cost-effective source of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are involved in prostaglandin synthesis, hormone production, immune response, fat metabolism, and cell membrane integrity and fluidity.* Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, 1 to 3 softgels three times daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. | Serving Size | 3 softgels | | Servings per container | 33 | | Amount per serving: | | | Calories | 30 | | Calories from Fat | 30 | | Total Fat | 3 g | | Vitamin A (as Beta-Carotene) | 150 IU | | Flax Seed Oil | 3000 mg | | Alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3) | 1650 mg | | Linoleic Acid (Omega-6) | 510 mg | | Oleic Acid (Omega-9) | 510 mg | | Other ingredients: Gelatin, glycerin, water.
