Amino Acids |
 |
 |
Amino Acids exist in all living cells and chains of amino acids make up protein. They make up a great portion of our skin, hair, nails, muscle tissue and internal organs. Our brain and heart are especially high in protein. The body uses amino acids in the production of neurotransmitters in the brain, several hormones, a variety of enzyme and metabolic processes, the formation of antibodies, as well as for the production of non-essential amino acids. Essential amino acids are the amino acids the body does not produce and it is necessary to get them from the diet or supplementation. Non-essential amino acids are the amino acids the body produces, and semi-essential amino acids are also produced by the body, but higher amounts may be necessary during times of increased physical or emotional stress, illness or imbalance. NutriCology® amino acids are free-form and are easily absorbed into the system.*
